Maine Farmers Markets 2026

Maine's farmers markets run from working harbors to inland mill towns, and a few keep going right through the winter. Here's a guide to the 2026 markets we track across the state — where they set up, when they run, and a link to each one.
Bangor Farmers Market
The Bangor Farmers Market, run by the Bangor Farmers' Market, is one of the state's most consistent — Sunday markets nearly every week of the year. Winter dates are held at Sea Dog Brewing Co., and the outdoor summer season runs at Abbot Square in downtown Bangor from early May into late October.
Midcoast markets
The midcoast has a market in nearly every harbor town:
- Bath Farmers Market — Waterfront Park, from spring through the end of October.
- Rockland Farmers Market — Thursdays at Harbor Park.
- Belfast Farmers Market — at Waterfall Arts.
- Belgrade Lakes Market — running through the summer in the Belgrade Lakes region.
Downeast and Acadia
Near Acadia National Park, the Bar Harbor Eden Farmers Market runs Sundays from May into late October at the YMCA parking lot. Further Downeast, the Machias Valley Farmers Market runs Fridays through the growing season.
Inland and western Maine
- Lewiston Farmers Market — Sundays at the Bates Mill Complex.
- Augusta Farmers Market at Mill Park — Tuesdays at Mill Park in the state capital.
- Rangeley Farmers Market — in the western mountains.
- Sandy River Farmers' Market and the Farmington Saturday Farmers' Market in the Farmington area.
- Orono Farmers Market — Saturdays near the UMaine campus.
Winter markets
Maine doesn't close up entirely for winter. Besides Bangor's cold-weather dates at Sea Dog Brewing Co., the Berwick Winter Farmers Market runs Sundays in downtown Berwick, and the Brewer Farmers Market Craft Fair (run by Craftah, LLC) pairs local growers with makers at the Brewer Auditorium.
Planning your visit
Maine's markets shift with the season — spring greens and fiddleheads, summer berries and shellfish, fall apples and root vegetables. We list dates and locations for each market on its event page; for the current week's hours, check the official market site linked there. Most are free to attend.
Q: Do Maine farmers markets run year-round?
A few do. The Bangor Farmers Market holds Sunday markets nearly every week of the year — winter dates at Sea Dog Brewing Co. and the summer season at Abbot Square. The Berwick Winter Farmers Market and the Brewer Farmers Market Craft Fair also run in the colder months. Most coastal and inland markets run spring through fall.
Q: Where are the best coastal farmers markets in Maine?
The midcoast and Downeast are especially rich: Bath at Waterfront Park, Rockland at Harbor Park, Belfast at Waterfall Arts, and the Bar Harbor Eden Farmers Market near Acadia.
