The Blue Hill Fair is a true "down to earth" country fair, run by the Hancock County Agricultural Society in Blue Hill, Maine since 1891. The 2026 fair runs Thursday, September 3 through Labor Day Monday, September 7, with sheep dog trials, livestock and 4-H shows, antique tractor pulls, harness racing, a carnival midway, exhibition halls of vegetables, canned goods, flowers, arts and crafts, and stage shows included with admission. Thursday is Dollar Day — $1.00 adult admission and $1.00 per person per mechanical ride, with gates open 4pm to 10pm. Friday is Senior Citizens Day: seniors 62 and over pay $5.00, regular adult admission is $10.00, and a $25 unlimited-ride wristband is available from 3pm. Saturday and Sunday run 8am to 10pm at $10.00 for adults, and Labor Day Monday runs 8am to 8pm with a $30 unlimited-ride wristband from noon. Children age 11 and under are free every day. Parking on the fairgrounds is free, and you can leave and return the same day with a hand stamp at the gate. With the exception of service animals, pets are not allowed.
