Annual St. Patrick's Day and Evacuation Day Parade through South Boston, traditionally held the Sunday closest to March 17. One of the largest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the United States, drawing up to 1 million spectators (weather permitting). The parade route runs through South Boston along Broadway. Food vendors, street vendors, and food trucks line the route throughout the day; bars and restaurants along the route are packed. Operated by the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council.
