35th annual Bread and Roses Heritage Festival, held Labor Day on the Common in Lawrence, 11:30 am – 6:00 pm. Free, family-friendly one-day open-air celebration honoring the Strike of 1912 and Lawrence's labor heritage. Performances include Bread and Puppet Theater, Ani Cordero, and other artists. Children's activities include pony rides, jugglers, arts and crafts, and face painting. Historic trolley tours.
