Cheshire Grange Community Fair 2026

Cheshire Grange No. 23 has run its Community Fair since 1885; the 2026 edition is the 141st. Held on the Grange Hall grounds at 44 Wallingford Road, it is a traditional judged exhibition fair with departments for needlework and sewing, baking and canning, art, crafts and collections, photography, flowers, fruit and vegetables, and a youth department — plus the Association of Connecticut Fairs state baking and apple-pie contests. The Grange calls it "our biggest community event of the year." Regular attractions include the "Grannies' Attic" tag sale, a bake sale, a teacup gift-basket auction, Saturday contests (water balloon, pie eating, rolling pin, rubber mallet throw), and a Sunday auction. Admission is free; a family-style roast beef dinner is served Sunday ($25 per person, reservations required).
