Christmas at Blithewold returns to the Manor at Blithewold in Bristol, Rhode Island, from November 24, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Each year volunteer decorators transform the house around a theme drawn from the interests of the Van Wickle/McKee family who lived here. The 2026 theme is Gifts of Nature: displays inspired by Blithewold's gardens, woodlands and shoreline fill the Manor with birds, butterflies, woodland creatures, mushrooms, flowers, stars and storybook scenes, made with handmade decorations and natural materials. During the Christmas season the Manor and grounds are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed Mondays (except most Monday holidays and school vacation weeks); Blithewold is closed November 26, December 24 and December 25. General admission is bought at the Welcome Center when you arrive, since online admission sales have ended: $22 for adults, $11 for ages 11 to 16, $6 for ages 6 to 10, $50 for a family of two adults and two children, $18 military and students, and free for members and young children. The tour is self-guided, with docents in the rooms and a free audio tour. Seasonal programs such as afternoon teas, Sing-Along With Santa and a Christmas Carol reading are ticketed separately. Only service animals are allowed on the property.
