The annual Crown of Maine Balloon Festival in Presque Isle, commemorating the 1978 launch of the Double Eagle II — the first hot air balloon to cross the Atlantic. Features hot air balloon launches, kids' activities, food, music, and family-friendly fun across three days at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds. All balloon activities are weather dependent.
