The 13th Annual Maine Fiddlehead Festival celebrates Maine's spring foraging tradition with vendors, programming, and family activities on the University of Maine at Farmington campus. Free admission, free parking, family-friendly, dog-friendly. 70+ vendors are expected — Maine farms, foragers, food makers, artisans, and homesteaders. Tent Talk Schedule: Five named speakers covering fiddlehead harvesting, foraging, Maine farming, and related topics — Olivia Ruhlin, Dave Fuller, Elizabeth Smedberg, Chris Knapp, and Abbie Perry. Tent talks run throughout the day on the festival grounds. Kid's Zone Petting Zoo: Four farm partners host an up-close animal experience for children — Martin Woods Farm, Fred and Matilda, Happy Snowman Alpaca Farm, and Tlee's Rabbits. When and where: Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the UMF campus, 224 Main Street, Farmington, Maine. Suitable for all ages. The festival is a longstanding community event that traditionally marks the start of Maine's spring foraging season.
