Maine Needham Festival

The Maine Needham Festival returns to the Maine Tasting Center in Wiscasset for its fourth year, held on official Maine Needham Day — the last Saturday in September, a designation made by the Maine legislature in 2023. This family-friendly festival celebrates the classic Maine Needham, a coconut-and-potato confection dipped in dark chocolate that's been a beloved Maine treat for about 150 years. Enjoy Needham-making demonstrations, Needham-themed contests, and chocolate-dipped delights from Maine's candy and confection makers, plus potato-themed crafts, lawn games, live music, food trucks, and local artisan vendors.
