
Revolutionary Fair
Step back in time to Colonial Otisfield with tradespeople and crafters of the Revolution. The Otisfield Historical Society welcomes local Revolutionary-era artisans plying their trade, a tasting station featuring foods of the period, period games and much more. Demonstrations include: - Blacksmithing — local Bell Hill blacksmith Ryan Adams demonstrating his craft - Beekeeping — Derek Dorr with the tools of the trade, and how beekeeping has changed - Spinning — Laurie Phillips demonstrating the spinning wheel and its place in everyday life - Archival Needlework — historic pieces from the Society's archives on display - Games and Toys — period-accurate games and toys; try your hand at Whist, Chess or Cribbage - Foods and Flavors — Jess Dorr with authentic period foods to taste, plus the tools used in Colonial kitchens Free and open to all members of the public; refreshments will be served. Presented in partnership with the Maine Semiquincentennial Commission (1776–2026).
