Wassail Weekend is Woodstock's 42nd annual holiday celebration, December 11-13, 2026, run by the Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce. The village fills with light displays, decorated historic homes and holiday music. Friday, December 11 opens with a candle-lit walk at 4:30pm from East End Park to the Village Green and a welcome party at Peace Field Farm. The Wassail Artisan Market with Vermont makers is on the Village Green December 11-12, and the Wassail Holiday Craft Fair at the Masonic Hall (over 25 local artisans, food available, its 20th year) runs December 12-13. Saturday, December 12 brings the Wassail Cafe on the Green serving warm wassail punch (adult and non-alcoholic) from 10am to 3pm, the horse parade at 2pm, the lighting of the Memory Tree and a Yule log bonfire at 3pm, and the Rotary lighting of the luminaries at 4pm. Billings Farm & Museum holds a ticketed Victorian-themed Winter Celebration all three days, and there are horse and carriage rides through the village, skating with Santa, caroling and more.
