WaterFire Providence holds a full lighting on Saturday, October 24, 2026, added to the season after the September 26 lighting (billed as "Celebrating Rhode Island Educators") was cancelled for a nor'easter forecast. The October 24 lighting is supported by RIDE. Braziers along the rivers of downtown Providence are lit from sunset (5:50 p.m.) to 10:00 p.m.; onshore programming and vendors open at 5:00 p.m.
