ZooLights at Stone Zoo
ZooLights turns Stone Zoo at 149 Pond Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts, into a walk-through holiday light display, with tree-lined paths lit by thousands of energy-saving LED lights. The season runs November 20, 2026 through January 3, 2027, from 4 to 9:30 p.m. nightly, closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. New this year, Yukon Creek becomes a candy-themed winter wonderland with a festive model train set. The Carousel, Jungle Fun and VR rides run each night, including a limited-time "Elf Power" VR experience; rides depend on weather and staffing, so call Guest Services at 781-438-6321 to check. Hot Chocolate with the Reindeer runs 3:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday on select December dates (Dec 2-6, 9-13 and 16-23), requires advance online tickets, and includes ZooLights entry. Tickets are required for all guests; children under 2 are free. Zoo New England uses date-based pricing for ZooLights ("Ticket prices change daily!"), so there is no single published adult or child price; check the date you want on the official ticket site. Groups of 20 or more pay $12 per person (excluding Saturdays and Thanksgiving weekend) by reservation. Library passes are not valid for ZooLights. Parking is free in the lot in front of the entrance off Pond Street. Pets are not permitted; trained service dogs are welcome.
