The Amherst Railway Society sponsors the Railroad Hobby Show, the largest railroad-themed trade show in America, occupying 350,000 square feet across four buildings on the Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds. The show covers all facets of the railroad hobbies, including model railroads, railroad art and photography, history and preservation, tourist railroads, and railroad books and videos.
