The American Chestnut Foundation (TACF) is a nonprofit whose mission is to return the iconic American chestnut to its native range and restore the eastern forest. It uses a three-pronged research strategy — breeding, biotechnology, and biodiversity — including advanced recurrent genomic selection to develop blight-resistant trees.
