Connecticut Renaissance Faire 2026: Visitor's Guide

"New England's Old England" sets up shop in Lebanon every fall. The Connecticut Renaissance Faire returns for its 28th season on weekends from August 29 through October 25, 2026, open Saturdays and Sundays plus Labor Day and Columbus Day Mondays.
What the faire is
The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is a full-season event built around a 16th-century village: dozens of live shows daily across 13 stages, full-contact jousting every day, comedy, and stage combat, plus an artisan marketplace, games, and taverns. The Faire lists 22 shows and 36 games and activities each day, alongside 204 vendors, 31 food merchants, and 7 pubs and taverns.
Themed weekends
For 2026 the Faire runs nine themed weekends, each with its own flavor:
- Opening & Market (Aug 29–30)
- Dragons & Dungeons
- Roses & Romance
- Shirefolk
- Faerie Ring Revels
- Pirates & Vikings
- Time Travelers
- All Hallows
- Merry Macabre
No two weekends are the same, so the Faire rewards repeat visits across the season.
Hours and tickets
The Faire is open Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., plus the two holiday Mondays. Admission is $16 general, $10 youth, and free for children. There are no separate food tickets, and same-day re-entry is allowed. Select weekends sell out, so buying ahead is wise.
Planning your visit
The Faire is held at the Lebanon Country Fairgrounds, 122 Mack Road, Lebanon, CT — organizers ask guests to avoid Barker Road on the way in. It's an easy drive from Hartford, Norwich, and the eastern Connecticut shoreline.
