King Richard's Faire 2026: Visitor's Guide

For more than four decades, a 16th-century kingdom has materialized in the woods of Carver each fall. King Richard's Faire — billed as the largest Renaissance festival in New England — returns for its 45th season on weekends from September 5 through October 25, 2026, plus the Monday holidays of September 7 and October 12.
What the faire is
Set on a 200-acre wooded site, King Richard's Faire packs eight stages of entertainment, three jousting tournaments daily with armored knights on horseback, strolling minstrels and acrobats, a sprawling artisan marketplace, hand-powered rides in the Gaming Glen, pony rides, and the Faire's famous spit-roasted turkey legs. It has been running since 1982 and remains the marquee Renaissance event in the region.
