Ceud Mìle Fàilte — a hundred thousand welcomes. The Maine Highland Games & Scottish Festival returns for its 47th year on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Windsor Fairgrounds, hosted by the Saint Andrew's Society of Maine (SASME). Note the new date — the 2026 games moved to August 8.

What the festival is

The day features traditional Highland heavy athletics, solo piping and pipe band competitions, Scottish dance, Celtic music, an opening ceremony, clan tents, and vendors selling tartans, jewelry, Highland goods, and Scottish food. SASME is a member of the New England Scottish Alliance.

Camping and tickets

Two-night camping is available on the fairgrounds — check-in Friday August 7, check-out Sunday August 9, $100 for the weekend (payable to Windsor Fair). Tickets, including VIP, are sold through the official site, and vendor information is posted at mainehighlandgames.org/vendor-info.

Planning your visit

The Windsor Fairgrounds are at 82 Ridge Road in Windsor, in central Maine between Augusta and the Midcoast. A Friday-night ceilidh kicks off the weekend for those camping or arriving early.
