Gardens Aglow turns Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens into a walking light show of more than 750,000 LED bulbs, roughly 65 miles of lights, along an approximately one-mile route through the central gardens. The 2026 theme, "Gathered In Maine," celebrates maple tapping, mushroom foraging, pollinators and coastal life. It runs November 14, 2026 through January 2, 2027, Thursday through Sunday plus select additional dates, from 4 to 9 p.m. (the Visitor Center opens at 3:45), and is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Timed tickets must be bought in advance online or by phone at (207) 633-8000; there are no onsite sales. 2026 adult tickets run $20 to $28 depending on the date, seniors and veterans $18 to $26, and children $10 to $18, with a 20% member discount and an optional $50 VIP upgrade. Parking is free, and on Friday through Sunday nights a shuttle runs from the Boothbay Harbor Town Office at 11 Howard Street for ticket holders. There's a café, a snack shack and food trucks, the show runs rain or shine, and most guests spend about two hours. Only service animals are allowed.
