Holiday Craft Fairs & Christmas Markets in Maine 2026: Weekend-by-Weekend Guide
Maine's holiday shopping season runs from the first weekend of November to the weekend before Christmas, with craft fairs in school gyms, armories and civic centers, plus a few Christmas markets, light shows and parades. This guide lists the holiday craft fairs and Christmas events we're tracking across the state for 2026, weekend by weekend. We checked each date against the organizer's own site in late September 2026; the few we couldn't confirm are listed separately at the end.
Biggest holiday events
- Christmas in New England Arts and Craft Show — Augusta Civic Center, November 28–29. Its organizer calls it the largest craft show of the season. For the full run of Augusta shows, see our Augusta holiday craft show series guide.
- Kennebunkport Christmas Prelude — December 3–13. Tree lightings, Santa by lobster boat, caroling and fireworks. Read the Christmas Prelude guide.
- Gardens Aglow — Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, November 14, 2026 to January 2, 2027. A walking light show with timed tickets sold in advance only. Read the Gardens Aglow guide.

Weekend of November 7–8
- South Portland Craft Show — South Portland High School, November 7–8. Saturday 9am–4pm, Sunday 10am–3pm. Free. The Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen's first show of the season.
- League of Maine Craft Show — Wells Junior High School, November 7–8. Saturday 10am–4pm, Sunday 10am–3pm. Juried show; free admission and parking.
Weekend of November 14–15
- Veterans Weekend Arts & Craft Show — Augusta Armory, November 14–15. 9am–4pm both days. Adults $3, kids 12 and under free.
- Lewiston Fall Artisan & Craft Fair — Lewiston Armory, Saturday, November 14, 10am–3pm. Run by Lewiston Recreation, with 40-plus vendors. Free.
- Gardens Aglow opens in Boothbay on November 14.
Weekend of November 20–22
- Maine Harvest Festival — Cross Insurance Center, Bangor, Saturday and Sunday, November 21–22. 10am–4pm (doors close at 3). Free admission.
- FEZtival of Trees — Kora Shrine Temple, Lewiston, November 20–28 (closed Thanksgiving Day). More than 60 decorated trees on two floors, a tree raffle, a craft fair and Santa. Adults $6, kids under 12 free with a paying adult. Tickets are sold in 15-minute entry windows.
- Makers Market Christmas Arts & Craft Show — South Portland High School, November 21–22. 9am–4pm both days. Adults $3, kids 12 and under free.
- KCCV Holiday Craft Fair — Augusta Civic Center, November 21–22. 9am–3pm both days. Free, with photos with Santa and a 50/50 raffle.
- Maine Made Christmas Craft Show — Mt. Ararat High School, Topsham, November 21–22. Saturday 9am–4pm, Sunday 10am–3pm. Free. The 32nd year for this Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen show.
- SeDoMoCha Christmas Craft Fair — SeDoMoCha Middle School, Dover-Foxcroft, Saturday, November 21, 8am–2pm. Food vendors on site.
- FOSH Holiday Craft Fair — Fayette, Saturday, November 21, 9am–2pm. Run by Friends of Starling Hall.
- Gateway Holiday Market — Greater York Region Chamber, 1 Stonewall Lane, York. Saturdays from November 21 through December 19, 9–12, inside and outside the chamber.
- Main Street Market — Thornton Academy gym, Saco, Sunday, November 22, 9am–2pm. More than 60 local makers, run by Saco Main Street.
In Portland, the Maker's Market at Thompson's Point runs on select weekends through the season: November 15 and 22, December 6, December 12–13 and December 19–20. Entry is free, and there's a bar.
Thanksgiving weekend, November 27–29
- Bonny Eagle Craft Fair — Bonny Eagle High School, 700 Saco Road, Standish. Friday, November 27, 9am–4pm, and Saturday, November 28, 9am–3pm. The 53rd annual fair, a fundraiser for the Old Red Church.
- Christmas in New England Arts and Craft Show — Augusta Civic Center, November 28–29. 9am–4pm both days. Adults $5, kids 12 and under free, free parking. This is the 47th year.
- Home for the Holidays Craft Show — Scarborough High School, Friday, November 27 (10am–4pm) and Saturday, November 28 (9am–4pm). Free.
- Grayson's Legacy Holiday Craft Fair — Sanford Memorial Gymnasium, Saturday, November 28, 9am–2pm. About 40 vendors, Santa from 10am to noon, and a food truck. A fundraiser for a children's nonprofit.
Weekend of December 4–6
- Holiday Craft Fair at Atlantic Oceanside — Atlantic Oceanside, Bar Harbor, Friday through Sunday, December 4–6. 9am–4pm each day. Run by the Island Arts Association.
- Kennebunkport Christmas Prelude — December 3–13. Most events are free. See the full schedule in our guide.
- Waterfall Arts Holiday Pop-Up Market — 256 High Street, Belfast. Friday, December 4, 2–7pm and Saturday, December 5, 10am–4pm. A juried market of Maine-made art and craft.
- Saco Holiday Festival and Parade of Lights — Main Street, Saco, Saturday, December 5. Lit floats, dancers and Santa arriving on the fire boat. Check Saco Main Street's site for times.
- Walnut Hill Holiday Craft Show — Wescustogo Hall, North Yarmouth, Saturday, December 5, 9am–4pm. Free.
- Winter Craft Fair — Presque Isle Recreation Center, December 5–6. Saturday 9am–4pm, Sunday 9am–2pm. Run by the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce.
- Spirit of Christmas Fair — Bath Middle School, Sunday, December 6, 9am–3pm. Free. Nearly 100 crafters; a fundraiser for Studio Theatre Bath.
- Cliff House Holiday Maker's Market — Cliff House, Cape Neddick, Sunday, December 6. More than 45 artisans, open to the public. Check the official site for current hours.
Weekend of December 12–13
- Last Minute Arts & Craft Show — Augusta Armory, December 12–13. 9am–4pm both days. Adults $3, kids 12 and under free.
- Merry Makers Craft Show — Saco Community Center, Saturday, December 12, 9am–3pm. Free.
- Wabanaki Winter Market — Collins Center for the Arts, University of Maine, Orono, Saturday, December 12, 9am–3pm. Free. Buy baskets, jewelry, carvings and beadwork directly from Wabanaki artists. Free parking across from the building.
Weekend of December 19–20
- Last Minute Arts & Craft Show Finale — Augusta Armory, December 19–20. 9am–4pm both days. Adults $3, kids 12 and under free. The last big craft show before Christmas.

The season starts the first weekend of November. In 2026 the first holiday-season shows are November 7–8 in South Portland and Wells. The busiest stretch is the weekend before Thanksgiving through Thanksgiving weekend, and the last Augusta show runs December 19–20.
