The Harwinton Fair — 169th annual in 2026 — is a traditional Connecticut country agricultural fair held the first weekend of October at the Harwinton Fairgrounds, 150 Locust Road. The schedule includes pig races, an antique tractor pull, an oxen draw and oxen & trained steer judging, a draft horse pull, poultry, dairy and beef cattle judging, a rabbit costume contest, woodchopping, a skillet throw and anvil toss, a car show, equestrian shows, a comedy magic show and live music. Admission $10; children 12 and younger are free. Free parking. No dogs or pets are allowed on the fairgrounds.
