Each holiday season the Preservation Society of Newport County decorates three of Newport's Gilded Age mansions. For 2026, The Breakers, Marble House and Chateau-sur-Mer welcome visitors from November 21, 2026 through January 3, 2027, with nearly 30 Christmas trees, hundreds of poinsettias, garlands and wreaths, and the 15-foot poinsettia tree of 150 plants in the Great Hall of The Breakers. During the holiday period The Breakers is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday (also 9 to 3 on December 21 to 23), Marble House is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Chateau-sur-Mer is open Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; last admission is an hour before closing. All houses are closed Thanksgiving Day (November 26) and Christmas Day, and close at 2 p.m. on December 24. Daytime visits use the regular tickets: The Breakers $32 for adults and $14 for ages 6 to 12, The Breakers +1 $45, The Breakers +2 $57, and One Property (any house but The Breakers) $25 for adults and $10 for ages 6 to 12, with children under 6 free. Breakers tickets require a specific date and entry time; the other houses don't. Parking is free on site. In the evenings, Sparkling Lights at The Breakers (separately ticketed, 4 to 8 p.m. on select dates, November 21 to December 27) lights a half-mile path with hundreds of thousands of holiday lights and includes the decorated house interior; 2026 prices are $45 for adult non-members, $30 for adult members, $18 for youth and free under 6, with tickets on sale October 1.
