Founded in 1869, the volunteer-run Union Fair is a Midcoast Maine institution at the Union Fairgrounds — and since 1959 it has hosted the State of Maine Wild Blueberry Festival. The 2026 fair runs Wednesday–Sunday, August 5–9, with a large midway, 4-H competitions, livestock shows, harness racing, blueberry baking contests, a demolition derby, and live entertainment; general admission includes exhibits, concerts, and parking.
