SoWa Christmas Market 2026: Hours, Admission and What to Know at Boston's SoWa Power Station
The SoWa Christmas Market is Boston's big indoor holiday market in the South End. From November 20 through December 27, 2026, more than 100 makers, artists, designers and specialty food vendors set up inside the SoWa Power Station. The organizer calls 2026 the 11th annual market.
If you knew it as the SoWa Winter Festival, this is the same event under a new name. The old Winter Festival page on SoWa's site now forwards to the Christmas Market page, and the 2026 vendor application is titled "Winter Festival at SOWA Boston - 2026 SoWa Christmas Market."

Apart from Black Friday and Christmas Eve, weekday hours start at 4pm, so weekends are your best bet for a morning visit.
Admission and tickets
Admission is $10, and kids 12 and under are free. SoWa says the fee pays for running the market: staff, decor, entertainment, cleaning, heat and other costs of an indoor show without large corporate sponsors. It says the fee also lets it charge local vendors less.
The official page did not link to advance tickets as of late September. Check the official site before you go in case online tickets are added.
What you'll find
Expect handcrafted jewelry, artwork, gourmet holiday treats and gifts from small businesses. The 2026 vendor list was marked "coming soon" as of late September.
Parking and getting in
Parking is $10, cash only, at 540 Harrison Ave., 500 Harrison Ave., 365 Albany St., 324 Albany St. and 274 Albany St. SoWa says the 540 Harrison Ave. lot is wheelchair and stroller friendly.
A few house rules to know:
- No re-entry. Fire Department capacity limits mean you can't leave and come back in.
- Strollers and kids are welcome. The organizer says the market is stroller and kid friendly.
- Payment: cash is preferred, but all major credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted.
- Dogs: per City of Boston rules, only service animals are allowed.
Around the neighborhood
SoWa is Boston's art and design district. The organizer points to the artist studios, galleries, design showrooms and shops nearby. Its FAQ lists The Cafe, The Buttery, Tatte and Cuppa Coffee for coffee, and restaurants including Myers + Chang, Toro, Coppa and Barcelona Wine Bar.
